Kenya’s small-to-medium-sized enterprises are calling on the Chinese embassy in Nairobi for assistance to help resume cargo flights between the two countries in order to revitalize the supply chains on which they depend.
Merchants complain that the current one flight a week from China is simply not enough to provide them with sufficient inventory for their shops. Store owners who depend on imported Chinese goods are either running out of stock or are forced to raise prices, both of which jeopardize their business.
