African Countries Are Going to Need Vaccines From China and Other Providers Since COVAX Supplies Will be Insufficient and Too Costly

New data from the Beijing-based consultancy Development Reimagined highlights how expensive it’s going to be to vaccinate a sufficient portion of the population in Africa to bring the COVID-19 pandemic under control. $5 billion is needed to cover the cost of two-dose vaccinations for just 20% of the population, according to Development Reimagined estimates.
