James Keeley

Research Director at Mobility for Africa

I am a project manager and China-Africa analyst working on agriculture, sustainability, mobility and development policy. Between 2013-17, I managed a China-Africa-UK trilateral partnership on agricultural innovation and technology transfer for the UK Department for International Development, with a focus on cassava value chains in Uganda, and aquaculture development in Malawi. I am currently a Director of Research at Mobility for Africa, a social enterprise introducing Chinese three wheelers charged with off-grid solar to tackle mobility challenges of rural women in Zimbabwe. Prior to this, between 2010-14, I was based in Ethiopia where I worked on land investment and agricultural development programmes.
